The median home price in Williamson County continued to rise in August as the days the typical home was on the market continued to shrink, according to data from the Williamson County Association of Realtors.
The median price in August for a single family residential unit was $389,950 in August, an increase of 15 percent compared to August of 2012 and the highest August median on record.
Days on the market — 60 for a single-family home and 61 for a condo — were 23 percent lower in August 2013 compared to a year ago.
“Average days on the market is plummeting and prices are increasing,” said allison K. King, government affairs and communications director for the local trade group, in a press release announcing the figures. “Williamson County is following a larger national trend for lack of inventory.”
However the median condo price in 23 closings was $206,925, less than the $223,500 median last year for 30 closings.
